Weekend Brunch Is Here! šŸ³šŸ„“šŸžšŸ„ÆšŸ„‚šŸ½ļøā˜•āœØ

Starting this weekend, every Saturday & Sunday from 10AM to 3PM, in Great Falls, Mosaic District and Shirlington.

Kalimera! One of the most popular requests we've received during our almost eight-year run so far is brunch! And what do you know, Mama finally relented! Every Saturday and Sunday, we'll be opening our doors at all three locations an hour earlier at 10AM, eager to welcome you with a fresh brew and a fabulous brunch!

Ā

We're kicking off our brunch program with a couple of pies. First up, tyropita, a savory feta cheese phyllo pie you can find at every corner bakery in Athens. Next, the sweet bougatsa, a northern Greek staple that oozes with hot milk custard sprinkled with powdered sugar and cinammon!

Ā

Then we have a couple of yogurt bowls, whole Greek yogurt that is, topped with either pine honey and crushed walnuts, or Mom's special forest fruit preserve that she makes in-house.

Ā

Most importantly, we are introducing KOULOURIA (pronounced koo-loo-ree-ah). If the name sounds pretty cool, it's because they are! Koulouria are large Greek bread rings, similar to bagels but thinner, softer and chewier in texture, with a crispy crust covered in sesame seeds. We're serving them in three ways. First, our take on the salmon bagel with avocado and cream chesse. Then, we're doing a Greek Eggs Benny, poached eggs with avocado, Canadian bacon with Greek yogurt and feta- delish. Last, we're doing a classic kasseri cheese sandwich with tomato, lettuce and Kalamata olive paste.

Ā

We're obviously serving more egg dishes, so be sure to check them out in the menu below. Our favorite and one that we grew up with, especially when visiting our home island of Zakynthos, are the eggs poached in fresh tomato sauce with thick-cut potatoes. Weā€™re calling them Avga (eggs) Zakynthina and you'll definitely want some bread for this dish.

Ā

Our full cocktail list will be available to order, however we've highlighted a few on the brunch menu that better match the occasion.

Ā

We're very excited to see you a bit earlier in the day and serve you these amazing dishes and drinks! Drop off the kids at soccer practice and come join us. Make us your go-to spot after your Saturday workout. Bring the whole family after Sunday service. Join us after the farmer's market. Or just come as you are for a hearty brunch meal, we're here for you!

Ā

Take a peek at the menu below. While we're happy with our offerings, we may tweak a few things along the way. Please don't hesitate to ask about our specials of the day, and also note that our regular menu will be available during brunch as well.

Ā

Fail we may, sail we must! We look forward to welcoming you!

Ā

P.S. The Greek word for good morning is KALIMERA! Don't hesitate to greet us with a sunny "kalimera" when you join us!
